we love this game. i got it for my 7 year old – it is a fun game that also teaches usa geography. and my son has already devised new ways to play, in addition to the traditional rules. i noticed Amazon doesn’t have it anymore and I hope they get it again.

  3. I have played this once with my non-game-loving 7yo, and it was not very exciting. I think it is a nice way to learn about the states, if your child likes quiet games.

I would not buy this again, since my child prefers more “active” games like Life, Uno, Stratego, chess. Maybe if your child likes games like Guess Who, Battleship, Memory (I am thiking of games that my child doesn’t like…), maybe they would like this game?

There are no pieces to move; the game board is a map used only for reference to see which states are next to others. I think if it had pieces to move (and I suppose I could modify the game so that it does…), maybe my child would like it more.

It took a few rounds to understand the nature of this game but once we settled into it, were were hooked. How you set up your cards before play starts is the key to the game. And no two games are alike! It seems most reviewers are saying you need to be at least 7 or 8 to understand the nature of the game and I would agree. But an added benefit to this game is that my teenager enjoys playing it along with the adults. My 76 year old father was hooked and made us play several more rounds after we had already completed 4 rounds. A fun geographical based game that requires a little luck with the draw of the cards as well as logical thinking n order to complete your trip along with some strategy to possibly block your opponents.
