Great game for 12 and older family game.

While Acquire is a game of the ages, this new version is definitely not up to par. Aftrer playing the older version, and witnessing the newer version, i have come to the conclusion that the older version is better for one main reason: The board is so much bigger!! A 3 person gtame on the old board took upwards of 2 hours, even though the time flies. There are roughly around 200 tiles in the old game, while the new one has somewhere around 50, speeding the game up, and taking away a lot of the strategy. Avalon Hill should manufacture, if anything another edition, an exact replica of the older version; it will keep us old-timers happy, and keep the classic touch of the original.

Simply one of the greatest board games of all time. Very addictive. Good balance of skill and chance. Actually best played with 3 players because the luck factor increases with each additional player. Wish that this version, however, had kept the original hotel chain names from the 3M version that was made in the 60′s (Luxor, Continental, Tower, Worldwide, Festival, etc.) Great family game, even kids as young as 9 or 10 should be able to play.

Exellent game. Plays relatively quickly. The player with the most money at the end of the game wins. Go figure!
