I first played this game before the expansion kit was available. We took two battlelore games togeather and played which cost about 140.00 to buy 2 games our friend told us but he loved the game so it was worth it. My husband,myself, and my three son played and had a blast. It is not a can game you can change it up and can buy the army you want. It can be as big or small as you want which children like that. We had age range of 7 years old to 65+ playing this game and we played for hours. It is a great afternoon with the family.
