Dominion is a card game like no other. It’s another game that brings a unique play experience to your family game table. Of course, with the success of Dominion you can expect that many other games will try to copy the formula. So what’s it all about? Check out the video review of Dominion by our family and you’ll get the picture. You can find more detailed reviews at www.TheBoardGameFamily.com.

@mathmethman That’s correct – unless the action/card you played says to do something different with it.
@mathmethman The reason I point this out: I have a friend who just piles all his cards up without due care over which are in the play area and which are supposed to be on the discard pile. I have been unsuccessful in trying to get him to be more precise. And it hasn’t so far spoiled the game, so I’m probably quibbling about nothing!
@TheBoardGameFamily One minor quibble from watching this video – when you buy (or otherwise gain) a card, place it immediately in the discard pile and not on top of the other cards in your playing area. Usually it makes no difference, but (for example) if you gain a card via one action then play a second action which tells you to draw more cards and the draw deck is empty, then the reshuffled discard pile should include the card you’ve just gained, but not the other cards on the table.
@TheBoardGameFamily Yeah, this game is best learnt by playing it.
Nice review. I was wondering about buying dominion and this looks sweet.
lol
He sounds so sure of what he is doing :p
Spam alchemists!
I totally agree with 4.9 out of 5
Music from Glory by James Horner… nice! Love that score!
What amazes me is that this young boy can explain the game BETTER than the majority of grown-ups can! Nice job!
@SirFakeName The discard pile is temporary. You discard the cards you play to your own discard pile. Once you go through your deck, you take your discard pile and shuffle it and it becomes your draw pile. So the whole game you’re building your deck of cards. Buying cards and using them as you continue to build.
How did he get his Thief card back from the discard pile?
I played Dominion, and I enjoyed it.
@FlindyFlannaFones That’s how we felt the first time too. We were lucky to be at a game convention though – so when we sat with confused looks on our faces while reading the rules, a passer-by stopped and sat down to teach us how to play. Then it went really smooth.
Thank you SO much. I am a visual person and, despite reading the directions five or six times, I was still a little lost on how the action cards were integrated into the game : /. I am very glad that I stumbled upon this to clear up the confusion
. Thanks again!
You did an excellent job, young man. Our family should have watched your video before we attempted to play. But now we understand it much better, thanks to you!
Mclovin plays dominion!!!
DOMINION
Dominion is a lot of fun, and actually gets better – although more involved – with the expansions. Nice review.
My hat off to your son. You must be very proud of having such a lovely boy! My son is more of a sportsman. My games are gathering dust. It is quite depressing!!!
Cool review, thanks.
