I ordered this for my son who is 4. He absolutely loves the whole thing, especially the wand. This makes a great dress-up for boys who are going to fairy parties and wizard parties etc. It can be used for all sorts of imagination games. I can’t see the wand lasting a long time, but for the price, who cares? The hat and cape are really nice and not cheap looking. A great little buy.

I ordered this without any reviews and was not sure what to expect so I wanted to do a quick review for those purchasing it these last few days before Christmas. I got it for $6. When it came, the disappointing thing was that it did not work. I had to get 3 AAA batteries and install them. I was disappointed in that because a toy for six bucks is great, but it jumped to $9 once you count extra batteries. Anyway, my disappointment was minimized because the wand was pretty spectular. It made neat wizard noises and was motion activated. In fact, I originally bought this and the unicorn set for two sisters. (I don’t have the unicorn yet so I can’t review it). I was thinking the sister who got the wizard would be disappointed because the unicorn looks so cute. Now, with the fancy wand, I am worried the other way around! I think the wand and the outfit look to be very sturdy and well made. Because it is for Christmas, I haven’t gotten the whole outfit out of the box to see how big it is. I think it will be suitable for at least the 4-5 range just looking at it. It does look very well made and, again, the wand is pretty fun. Almost hated to put it away….grin! Anyway, for six bucks this toy is great. I don’t know that I would have paid more for it and I’d love it if it went down a few bucks, but it is better than expected, except for having to buy batteries right off the bat.
This might also be fun to stock up for Halloween if it goes down more. It is cute for a starter to a costume or for kids who like to dress up.
