Some people will love the fact that this game is incredibly hard. Not complex mind you; hard. It seems next to impossible to beat the evil forces in this game. It is alot of fun trying to figure out how you can achieve this, but good luck ever achieving it. Perhaps this is the draw of the game, and if you ever beat it, you’ll never want to do it again. I don’t know because we have never come close and now my gaming group never wants to play again. All because it is so tough. This is without even playing with the traitor. We tried that as well and we got completely smoked.
Bottom Line: Is it fun? Definately, but be ready for a puzzle as to how to ever beat this game.

This is a great game, hours of fun for sure. I like that it can be played by many players. The knights must fight the forces of evil, and you can play with a secret vilian. Its a team effort game, no one plays for themselves.

We bought this game to play with our 8 year old. We LOVE it and have been playing it almost daily since we received it. In the game you become a knight of the round table. The knights (players) all work together as a team to battle the game to win. It takes a while to figure out the rules but once you do it is a really engaging fun family time. I highly recommend it for great family fun.

Shadows over Camelot is a wonderful game! My friends call me, begging to come over and play it again. You’ll be looking at the clock, calculating how important sleep is over playing again!

Very stable and durable, not made from cheap materials
Very exciting and keeps you constantly involved
Strategy improves over time and gameplay is always different
Cons: Takes a very long time
Plays slow, feels like your turn is only mildly eventful (a normal game takes about 90min)
Best with at least 4 people playing
Overall, if you are considering trying this game or buying this game, do it! It’s a lot of fun and will be played more than once. However, if you aren’t into strategy games or don’t commonly have more than 3 people playing at a time, perhaps you should try something more family friendly.

Shadows over Camelot is a wonderful game both in durability and playability. The first time I played it I was a little lost but the second time was so much fun. As a teacher I play this game at least once a week with kids from eight years old to seventeen years old. They all love it also.
The game is a little bit of an investment but it has wonderful quality for education and beautiful graphics. It is a game that the family can all play. I would suggest it for children over the age of eight because they do need a little attention to the game play. It is a neat way to learn how to work together to complete quests.
I hope you can enjoy the game as much as I do.
