Europe, suffering from three years of continued warfare, has come under the control of the Third Reich. Britain had desperately fought off “Operation Sealion” and is engaged with Axis forces in Africa. Russia got steamrolled during the first months of “Operation Barbarossa” and the Germans are closing on Moscow.
On December 6, 1941, Japan has declared war on the United States of Americaand caught them completely by surprise. A few weeks after the shaming defeat at Pearl Harbor the Allied forces still try to rally their battered forces against the advancing Japanese juggernaut. The Realm of the Rising Sun, in need of new resources, threatens the whole Pacific area and is setting sight to Austrailia and India.
The mighty conquest is lead by the japanese Imperial Navy. In their arsenal: modern aircraft carriers, escorted by vast Battleships and their advance covered by the ever-presentA6M2 Zero. The Allies are pushing their industry to its limits. Recruits are flocking to the Army’s training camps. Newly constructed ships leave their dockyards and a new Airforce is climbing to the sky in shiny fighter and armored bombers.
