5 Reveiws for How to Host a Murder: The Tragical Mystery Tour

The Class of ’54 is an intriguing party game, that is great fun to play. Each of your eight friends plays one of the parts, from the cheerleader, to the football star, to the nerd. (I’m sure you can think of the perfect person to play each part). The directions are easy to follow, and suggestions for costumes and meals are included. If you have more than eight friends to invite, make up characters, and they can still help solve the case.

This is a great game, my second favorite of the three How To Host a Murder games I’ve played. The characters are interesting with some surprising secrets, and the subplots unfold at a great pace. I highly recommend this game.

This is definetly a period game. It was our fifth “How to Host” party and without a doubt our best. Costumes were easily obtained and elaborate and with music ranging from Ravi Shankar to the Beatles, the stage was set for this very funny and very plot twisting murder. No one guessed who the real murderer was and laughter dominated the the entire night!

I’ve been wanting to host a murder party for quite awhile now, so I was very excited to finally get the chance. This game was really fun (all my guests enjoyed it) and the costumes are fairly easy to come by. Be careful to invite people that will play along with the character, otherwise it could be a dud. I didn’t choose to go with the menu they supplied, but it was still good. One bad thing is that it can really only be played once. Once you know who the murderer is, that’s it. And even though it advertises that it comes with a cassette tape, my game came with a CD (which is fine by me, but make sure you have a CD player!). It was a lot of work (cooking, costuming, cleaning, etc.), but we all had fun and I can’t wait to host another!
