Strategy Board Games

Kids Of Catan Game

$39.20

  • Players: 2-4
  • Ages: 4+

Product Description
Each player has a set of buildings to place. Placing a building uses a whole wagon load of resources: 1 each of wood, bricks, and wheat. The roll of the die determines how far the wagons will move. When any child stops beside a resource that they need, they can load the resource into their wagon. When your wagon is full, you get to build a new house! The house must be placed in the right spot in the village. Then the resources are returned to the board so they can be collected again! After you build all your houses, you begin collecting resources again to build the Town Hall. The player who builds the Town Hall wins the game!

5 Reveiws for Kids Of Catan Game

  1. A bit disappointed in the game.

It’s all luck. There is absolutely no strategy or skill involved at all.

I was hoping this would help my daughter learn a little of the regular Settlers game, making the transition to that game smoother/easier.

Ha – no such luck. The only similarities are in the names and what the pieces are called.

My 3 yr old can play this, and my 6 yr old gets bored after a while.

    Definitely in the “pre-kinder” category

  2. D. Butler says:

This is a great game for kids. My 4 year old son loved the fact that dad finally had a game he could play. He spends as much time playing with it by himself as he does playing with dad. The wooden pieces are really nice but I have had a couple of them come unglued.

  3. Game Queen says:

My younger brother introduced me to the “Settlers of Catan” a few years ago. It has become a family tradition for us during our Christmas holidays together. I am so thrilled to be able to share the strategty and fun of this game with my own children!

  4. I was a little disappointed in the game because it has no strategy. My 7 and 5 year old can play it by themselves which is nice but I was hoping for a game that we could enjoy as a family.

  5. For me The Kids of Catan is by no means as fun as Settlers of Catan, but for my five year old, she absolutely loves it. I do find it much more entertaining than some of the other children games we have bought for her.

The small buildings and the gathering of the resources has kept her interest and imagination going. We will see what happens after a few months with this interest, but she wants to play this game everyday.

It does have some limitations to the levels of the game that can be played, but it seems to be a good buy for now.

Very worth getting for your younger children
