Kingmaker Board Game. In the first video I look at the pieces and rules of Kingmaker, and start to explain the rules. www.historygamer.com Kingmaker is a massive multiplayer board game (potentialy up to 23 players can take part). This board game recreates the battles of the wars of the roses 1453. The aim of the game is to hold the last living royal piece (person) coronated as King or Queen. That is going to take a long time (usually) so interestingly the game can be played for points. The points scoring system favours large armies and conquered castles, towns and cities. Have a large army (deprive your opponent of armies by killing them off), storm castles etc and you will win most games. Unfortunetly standing in your way (apart from the other players of course), is a large slice of luck or bad luck. For this reason Kingmaker cannot be taken too seriously, any player can win the game with a stroke of luck. As usual you can kind of make you own luck by dealing with the other players in such a way as become popular (or at least not the target of an attack!). In Kingmaker you get royal pieces (which you want to get hold of), nobles (which you control), and ships. In addition there are cards for armies, towns, offices, titles, and special actions (like a free move or a writ to summon parliament). My dad played this game and I’ve been looking for it for ages, I finally found a nice copy belonging to my girlfriends dad, but of course, its not for sale…
reminds me of game risk
@23penguins32 its a pleasure. We played again last night. I realise I’ve done the sieges wrong in this video. You only have to match the besiged force to win the battle.
i always loved this game. my copy disappeared some years ago though. nice to see this. was just talking about this game with a friend last weekend. thanks.
