Rigamarole Board Game

The Rigamarole Board Game, by Hidden Talents Games, is a variety party game for four or more players ages 16 and up. The premise of the game is much like other party games, such as Cranium, but this one is more broadly based, testing skill, knowledge and random facts. It’s the perfect game for a getting-to-know-you get-together!

Players move around the Rigamarole Board Game board collecting cards from six different categories: Stage Fright, Think Tank, Sensory Perception, Double Whammy, Free to Be Me and Hidden Talents. Each category has several different types of activities which show up on the cards.

In Stage Fright, players might pick a “Tall Tales” card, where they must incorporate three random words into a 60-second story, and the other players must try to guess the three words.

In Think Tank, a sample challenge might be a “Who Do You Know”, where players must simply describe three people (or occasionally other proper nouns) and get the other players to guess the name.

The majority of the challenges in Sensory Perception involve putting a blindfold on one player (yes, a blindfold is included in the game box). Many of the challenges here are easier said than done, such as trying to stand on one leg for ten seconds while wearing a blindfold.

The Double Whammy category involves double dares, such as trying to make a player on the other team laugh, without touching them.

Free to Be Me is the most random category, where, on most of the cards, three traits are listed, and if at least one player on your team possesses each of them, your team wins the challenge.

Once you’ve received cards from all of the categories, you move to the
middle and do a “Hidden Talents” challenge.

Anyone who likes fun and silly party

5 Reveiws for Rigamarole Board Game

    1. Tyler Durden says:

I apologize in advance for this:

I try not to leave pointless reviews however I’m left with no choice. I’m reviewing this product because Amazon thinks it’s necessary to keep nagging me about it. It was purchased on a wedding registry. I have no clue if this game is good or not.

To be honest, this isn’t even a review; I simply hate board games. I dislike everything about them. See: I have no friends. Not even one meager person wants to be my friend. I’m fat, and I stink. I play computer games so I never have to leave the house (It’s not even my house really… my grandma let’s me live here).

Here are the problems with board games (listed in order of importance):

      1) They take up too much room in my den, where are my spare computer parts going to go?

      2) They require people to congregate in real life. Who has time for this?

      3) They take TOO long. I have dungeon raids to attend.

With the invention of the internet, and video games, I’m now able to play games with people.

I also bought this game based on the reviews it recieved. This game is definitely lacking the fun and excitement of other board games. We played the game for 30 minutes and it was as pleasant as a root canal. Very disappointing!!!!!!!!!!!!

I purchased this item based on customer reviews. They were all good, ALL seemed to be 5 stars. When I received the game and played it with the bunch of women I play games with every Saturday night, we ended up closing the game midway through. Most of the questions were too simple. For instance, almost all of one of the catagories cards read something like this: Read the qualities on the back of the card and determine which player best demonstrates them, or something to that effect. Well, I’ve known these people for years, there was no challenge there, not at all. Then there was the sing song cards that had you sing lyrics to given songs as long as you didn’t sing the title, again, extremely easy. Trying to figure out who has the biggest hands of the people playing, not good. Who is the tallest playing, how is this fun? As a matter of fact, the only cards we enjoyed were the tongue twisters, as they were the only ones that were challenging.

I was very disappointed in this game and wish I could send it back because it will never be played again. If this game sounds good to you, buy Cranium instead. Same premise but better executed.

my family and I play Rigamarole once or twice a month. We can all play together including my thirteen year old son who is very picky when it comes to board games. It is very fun and educational; highly recommended.
