Roer River Battles: Germany Under Siege for Pazer Grenadier

$10.95

  • 10 Scenarios

Product Description

Terrain always influences warfare, but the dams at the head of the Roer River stood out as especially significant. By opening up or destroying the gates, the Germans could flood not only the Roer River, but the Maas River in Holland as well. The flood could destroy any bridgehead the Allies constructed along them. The dams must be taken before an invasion of Germany was possible. Roer River Battles: Germany Under Siege is part of the Panzer Grenadier system, presents 10 scenarios of this key strategic campaign.

Panzer Grenadier is an award winning game system that covers tactical warfare in World War II. Each unit represents a platoon of infantry, weapons or vehicles. Each hexagon represents 200 meters of terrain. Each turn represents 15 minutes of time. PG features an interactive turn system, so a player may not get to do everything he wants to do before his opponent gets to counter move.

The Panzer Grenadier system is vast, with many modules available. Each module focuses on a particular theme and provide counters, maps and scenarios to play. There are two types of modules, the core games and the supplements. Core games are complete by themselves, with everything needed to play. Supplements expand on the core modules, bringing new scenarios and unit types to the game, but require one or more core module to play.

Roer River Battles is not complete by itself. Ownership of Battle of the Bulge, Elsenborn Ridge, Cassino ’44, Road to Berlin and Iron Curtain is required to play.
