5 Reveiws for Sababa / Front Porch Bookshelf Valley of the Pharaohs

  1. We are huge fans of Front Porch games, we also have Dread Pirate and the horse racing game. I got this for my husband for Christmas. We love playing it. It’s beautifully made, the pieces and game board are exquisite. It’s so fun to play, and great for parties. I highly recommend this game!

  2. Di Lynn says:

The game is visibly outstanding. The “board” is silky material and the games pieces are nice. The problem we had was playing by the stated rules. We played for three hours and still were not near the end so we amended the rules as we went to make the game more interesting and fun. It is basically just moving around the board collecting three game pieces and avoiding the mummy.

We played this game at a friends house. enjoyed it so much we decided to buy it.

This is a social game. It needs a family (or families) Not for little kids to play alone. There’s not a lot of strategy or thinking in it (its not chess!) Its starts a bit slow, which is good as the instructions are a bit difficult to figure out, but once you find out what to do, it can be fun. I especially like the way the game is set up so that at the end, the person in the lead is not necessarily the winner. Think of a pack of hyenas descending on a lone wolf with the meat! Enjoy!

  4. Steven Ririe says:

My family really enjoyed this game. Our favorite game is Dread Pirate made by the same folks and we thought we’d give this game a go. It was a lot of fun and worth the money. Dread Pirate is still the best board game we own.

  5. We just got this game for Christmas. Like our other “Front Porch” game, Dread Pirate, it comes in a fine wooden case, well painted and sturdy. The pieces and parts are quality made; From the glass jewels and metal coins, to the carved playing pieces and cloth game board, everything enhances the playing experience. I happened to get both games at discount, but even at full price they would be well worth it. Play is easy, but fun and engaging and makes for good family entertainment and (gasp) interactivity.

I would recommend (and have) both of these games to friends.
