Editorial Review
Scaventure takes the scavenger hunt to the extreme. You don’t just scour the house or the neighborhood; this game requires a car (not included)–except in urban areas where you might easily track down a whole fresh fish, a bag of hair clippings, or a restaurant souvenir on foot. Other assignments include gags (fake a broken arm), art projects (make an eggshell mosaic), kitchen quests (find two identical potato chips), and physical feats (do 100 pushups). Each team draws a card listing a series of tasks and then has 90 minutes to complete as many of them as possible–but no speeding, stealing, or other corner-cutting allowed! –Lynne Sampson

We really enjoyed Scaventure. It was simple to understand and better than that, it really inspired us to be creative. My friends bought it in Toronto and we went out and ran all over the place finding things. It was a riot, I would definitely play this game anytime!

The recommended age for this game is 9 and up. I bought this for my 10 year old to be played at a slumber party. I’ve read through over half of the cards and only a few would be appropriate for children. It is really an adult game i.e. some items need to found at bars, funeral homes, tatoo parlors, etc. It would be a fun game for adults but I would NOT buy this for children, not even teenagers.
