I own the main Catan game, the Cities and Knights expansion, Seafarers expansion and the new Traders and Barbarians expansion. All are amazing and the game play with the main game is great, and with the expansions, there are so many ways to play. I will say only one thing: when you buy Traders and Barbarians, it comes with (among other variants) the Great River of Catan and the Fisherman of Catan. Now granted, the version in Traders and Barbarians are not exactly the same as the stand along ones (Klaus Tauber expanded the tiles and rules for the T&B set), but you should just know that you will get some “duplication” if you buy this exact set.
