Product Description
Werewolves of Miller’s Hollow is a game that takes place in a small village which is haunted by werewolves. Each player is secretly assigned a role – Werewolf, Villager, or special character such as The Captain, The Hunter, the Witch, the Little Girl, The Seer and so on… There is also a Moderator player who controls the flow of the game. The game alternates between night and day phases. At night, the Werewolves secretly choose a Villager to kill. During the day, the Villager who was killed is revealed and is out of the game. The remaining Villagers (normal and special villagers alike) then deliberate and vote on a player they suspect is a Werewolf, helped (or hindered) by the clues the special characters add to the general deliberation. The chosen player is “lynched”, reveals his/her role and is out of the game. Werewolf is a social game that requires no equipment to play, and can accommodate almost any large group of players.

This game is a must have for everyone who likes party games. It is for 8-20 people, but is most fun when you are 12 or more. What is it all about? Werewolves and villagers. What character you are is determined by a card that you draw in the beginning of the game. Werewolves try to kill all the villigers, villigers try to get rid of the werewolves that kill amongst them during the night. Daytime and nighttime are determined by weather you have your eyes open or not. One of you (the moderator) will lead you through the game (preferably one who already knows it). One kill during the night has to be revenged during the day. As werewolves appear as ordinary people during the day, you cannot distinguish them from everyone else. This being said, you (that is the whole community) have to consent on killing one person of the community. Werewolves will try to kill another innocent, as villigers try to make out the werewolves. The trick: werewolves know each other. Villagers only know their very own card. The whole situation is simplified a little for the villigers as there are special characters with special abilities: the fortune teller can look at other people’s cards, the witch has a healing potion and a poison to resurrect or kill someone, cupid makes two people a couple that wins or dies together, and many more..

I’ve played this game at least 20 times and even the ones that were most reluctant to play loved it in the end.

Go get this game. It’s awsome. I promise, you’ll love it. Anyone who knows the old “Mafia” will have an easy start as the rules are more or less the same.

The cards are self-explaining, no writing, with very nice pictures. The game never gets boring. Each game is different as chance determines your character and you might be a different one each time.

One downside though: the spelling in the little booklet could do with some corrections, however, that doesn’t really influence the game, eh?

  5. I have played many party games and this is by far the most fun you can have with 10+ people. If you ever have gatherings with 10 to 16 people you must get this game. Both kids and adults will enjoy the suspense. Fun for all ages.
